Witches Craig Caravan & Camping Park Terms & Conditions

Any booking received and confirmed by us represents a contract between Witches Craig Caravan & Camping Park and the Customer, binding each of the following conditions. The person making the booking accepts the contract on behalf of all the members of the party, and is responsible for making due payments, and for making all members of the party aware of these terms and conditions.

We do not ask for a booking deposit, all pitch fees are payable on arrival. If however you require to cancel or amend your booking we ask that you make contact with us as soon as possible.

Exact pitches can be requested and although every effort will be made to reserve them, they cannot be guaranteed.

On the day of arrival, check-in is between 13.00 hrs – 20.00 hrs. Notification of late arrivals should be given in advance.

On the day of departure the check-out time is 12.00 hrs. Failure to depart on time affects the arrival of incoming guests. A late check-out can be arranged during quieter periods but is strictly subject to availability of that pitch.

Refunds will not be given for vacating the pitch prior to the arranged departure date.

While the park welcomes pets, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and exercised off the park. The dog is the responsibility of its owner at all times, and no responsibility will be taken by the park for any damage caused by it.   Dogs should not be left unattended on the pitch or anywhere else on the park. Dogs are not allowed to access the amenity block or the children’s play park. They must also be kept away from neighbouring livestock. Fouling in any area should be cleared up immediately and disposed of in the dog waste bins provided.

Fire regulations stipulate that only one car per pitch is permitted. Additional cars/visitors cars may be parked in the main car park.   The park is designed mainly for families and does not accept commercial bookings.

The speed limit throughout the park is 5mph and this is monitored and enforced by our staff to ensure the safety of everyone onsite, including children at play. Where possible, we may ask for vehicles to be kept off the grass in wet weather.

Washing of any vehicles, caravans or motorhomes is not permitted within the caravan park.

Entry and exit barriers are in operation. The entrance barrier operates automatically between 08.00 – 20.00 hrs. Thereafter, a code is required, this will be made clear to you on check-in. It is in your best interest not to share the code with unknown individuals.   The exit barrier will open automatically at all times.

A one way system is in operation. If for any reason you require to drive against the one way system please ensure you have an escort to stop any oncoming traffic.

For health and safety reasons the toilet and shower block is closed for cleaning, times are displayed therein.

The easy access toilet may be used in emergencies. Children should be accompanied by an adult when using toilets/showers. Codes are required for entry to all facilities and will be explained an arrival. It is in your best interest not to share the code with unknown individuals.

As we are a family park, group bookings or unsupervised young groups (under 21 years) are not accepted.

Rock pegs are necessary for awnings on hard standing pitches. These may be purchased from reception.

No commercial vehicles are allowed.

Clothes lines must not be tied to trees or fences. A clothes airier is located behind the amenity block and a drier is provided in the laundry room.

Parents or guardians are responsible for the supervision and safety of children in their party whilst on the park. Ball games are not permitted near vehicles or parked units. Children must not play near the barriers around or in the facility block or near to the park entrance.

BBQ’s are permitted when placed outside and raised off the ground (bricks provided). They must be fully extinguished before placing in the special bins provided. BBQ’s must never be used indoors (including tents and awnings) and must be extinguished before 23.00hrs. Open fires of any nature are strictly prohibited.

Drones, generators,  gazebos are not permitted on the park.

Noise levels should be kept to a minimum to avoid disturbance to other park guests between 23.00 hrs – 08.00 hrs. Any behaviour the park manager deems inappropriate or any breach of these conditions may result in immediate termination of the booking, without any refund or compensation.

The park reserves the right to refuse admission to the park and/or to ask any persons to leave.

We reserve the right to terminate the booking where we feel that the comfort and enjoyment of other guests may be put at risk.

In exceptional circumstances, we may have to cancel or amend your booking. If we do so we will notify you as soon as possible and you can choose either to accept any alternative arrangements offered to you, or book another holiday with us. If it is necessary for us to cancel your booking we will have no further liability to you.

Any accidents or injuries sustained on the park must be reported to reception immediately.

While every effort will be made by us to fulfil the contract, except where stated in the conditions, we shall not be liable for any changes, cancellations, effects of your holiday, loss or damage suffered by you or for any failure by us to properly perform any of our obligations to you which is due to any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control, e.g. fire, flood, exceptional weather, epidemics, and all similar situations. We cannot be held responsible for the failure of water, electricity, drainage or other mains services beyond our immediate control.

Whilst taking all reasonable precautions, the park is not liable for any loss or damage to any vehicle or belongings nor for any injury whatsoever to any person whilst on the park, unless caused directly by the negligence of an employee. Customers are wholly liable for any repairs, cleaning or replacements required to any park property damaged during their stay. Any such damage must be reported to reception.

All prices are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate. We reserve the right to alter prices at any time.

While every care is taken to ensure that the details in our website and online booking system are correct at time of being published, we cannot accept responsibility for errors contained therein or results thereof.

Our aim is to ensure all our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable holiday. If you have any concerns about your holiday whilst staying with us please report to reception immediately and we will respond as soon as possible. We will not be responsible for any matter, which you knew about during your stay but did not inform us about during your stay.

We reserve the right to vary these conditions at our discretion.
