A warm welcome awaits you at Witches Craig Caravan and Camping Park from owner Veda.
The 2015 AA awarding winning “Scottish Campsite of the Year” is situated at the foot of the Ochil Hills under the watchful gaze of the nearby National Wallace Monument.
For almost forty years our family run, family friendly park has been a gateway to the highlands and a base for exploring historic Stirling. Nearby you’ll also discover the scenic Trossachs, the rolling hills of Perthshire, the tranquil beaches of the Kingdom of Fife and much more.
Visit Scotland have graded Witches Craig “an exceptional 5 star” touring park. Our park has won many other awards in recent years, including “Loo of the Year” and a David Bellamy “Gold” Conservation award.
More pleasing than any award is the huge number of repeat customers and great reviews we receive in person and on review websites. We are particularly proud of the many hand drawn pictures of witches and toy witches that line the walls of our reception, gifted by families to mark a great stay.
Witches Craig is located in a peaceful, relaxing part of Central Scotland where every pitch has stunning views of the Ochil Hills and across to the historic city of Stirling. If you’re feeling active, you can access the Ochil Hills direct from the park, wander along an ancient roadway to the village of Blairlogie, or walk in the footsteps of William Wallace to the nearby Abbey Craig. For a more relaxing stroll you can see lots of wildlife around the Stirling University campus loch. The Battle of Bannockburn Visitor Centre is a ten minute drive from the park, while the Forth and Clyde Canal, with the iconic “Kelpies” at the Helix Park and “Falkirk Wheel” are just twenty minutes by car.
We’ve award winning toilets and showers, a laundry, undercover cooking shelters and dish washing facilities. Children love the freedom in our play park and regular visits from the Ice Cream van is an added bonus. Free Wi-Fi is available across the park. You can order newspapers, rolls and milk for delivery to the park each day or drive to a major supermarket within 5 minutes. A short walk will take you to the Blairmains Farm Shop and Coffee Bothy. Regular bus services stop outside the park and Stirling Railway Station is just over 3 miles. There are world-class sporting and fitness facilities at the neighbouring University of Stirling, while the nearby “Peak” sports village has a swimming pool, ice rink and climbing wall.
Whether you are looking for a base to explore the heart of Central Scotland, or a place with breathtaking local scenery for a relaxing weekend, Witches Craig Caravan and Camping Park has something for everybody.
Witches Craig is open from 25 March to 31 October 2016, with pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes. There are no caravans available for hire. Booking is always advisable for caravans and motorhomes. However, we do not accept camping reservations more than two days in advance.
All of our hard standing pitches have electrical hook-up points and guests can park one car next to their caravan – additional cars are welcome in our main car park next to reception.
Normal digital television signal is good throughout the park. However, if you use a satellite dish please notify when making a reservation as some trees can affect the satellite signal strength.
